Pawtucket History Research Collection

Pawtucket History Research Collection Sign

The Elizabeth Johnson Pawtucket History Research Collection began as the private collection of Elizabeth (Betty) Johnson and was for many years housed at her personal residence in Pawtucket.  In 2013 The Pawtucket History Research Center, the organization Betty created to care for her residence and history collection, gifted the collection to the Pawtucket Public Library and the material moved to its current location in the Library's Sayles Building.

The collection contains material on many of the City's landmarks, buildings, businesses and more.  The Library continues to actively add to the collection and facilitate projects that make the material available online to the public.
